Not much to say this week, busy on the finals and farm work. My dad is in Florida right now getting an operation done so it's been a bit hard along with the school work.

Pencil

During the last few weeks I was introduced to a pretty good animation program. The program works a lot like a light table would, there are a few things about the program that I do not like, but it's still a very great program. It'll save me a lot of time and paper I'd be using to do the animation traditionally. http://www.pencil-animation.org/

Work

Ghaaa all I want to do is work on Powder Monkey. This was a slow week with Thanksgiving break coming up, there were a lot of deadlines that I had to meet before break. I managed to get a few backgrounds done and my professor talked with the animators about cutting any unnecessary scenes.

Backgrounds

Not a lot to post today. I figured out how I'll be creating my backgrounds. Inking in the linework and coloring it in photoshop, and then I'll overlay a transparent texture to give the background a gritty look. I was walking all over my farm taking pictures of textures and a friend shared a few of their own with me so I have a pretty full library for the project.

Here's a water test that I worked on over the weekend,there are a few minor issues but I'm pretty happy with it. The motion is going to have to become more subtle as it approaches the horizon, right now it just makes the horizon look very strange. I'll be able to recycle this in my animation alot, reverse the motion, and ping-pong it back and forth to give some variation and suit the scene.

Sharkie

Here's two different color variations of character sheets for Sharkie. I was very unhappy with my first character sheet so I scrapped it and came up with a much cooler looking villain.

Animatic

Here is my animatic for Powder Monkey, there are a few timing issues at certain points, otherwise, I am happy with the way things are going.
